A sick visit is an appointment focused on evaluating and treating an illness, injury, or new health concern. Unlike a preventive well-child visit, a sick visit allows the provider to assess symptoms, make a diagnosis, recommend treatment, and answer questions related to your child’s condition.
Children may need a sick visit for a variety of reasons. Common concerns include fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, ear pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, breathing concerns, eye infections, headaches, stomach pain, urinary symptoms, minor injuries, and other sudden illnesses.
If you are unsure whether your child needs to be seen, our office can help guide you based on your child’s symptoms and age.
